SA’ First Satanic Church
A Devilish Design to Decimate worship of the One Deity
Shaykh Faheem of the Islāmic Lifestyle Solutions
“The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn’t exist”.
As South African Muslims spend much of their time debating whose version or interpretation of Islām reigns supreme, the devil has pulled the wool over our eyes and in the midst of unnecessary sectarian strife -regarding subsidiary matters-, South Africa’s first Satanic Church was quietly launched. The divide and conquer motto has found a home deep within the heart of Islām and resultantly left the door wide open for evident evil to lurk in the streets of this country.
The South African Satanic Church (SASC) was launched in Cape Town in 2020 and to the Islāmically illumined folk, the methodology employed by its co-founders stands to prove the deceptive ways of the devil, as elucidated in the Qur’ān. In a statement, one of its co-founders said,
“We do not worship the ‘Devil’, but simply revere Satan as an archetype for our true nature,” Swiegelaar said. “We do not practice, nor condone animal, and/or human sacrifice.”
On face value, the SASC will have us believe that everything is evergreen on the other side, but Muslims must remain vigilant at all times as the famous Sūrah Yāsīn of the Qur’ān stands to remind us of our covenant with God Almighty,
“O Descendants of Adam! Did I not take a covenant from you that you shall not worship the devil? Undoubtedly, he is your open enemy.” (60) “And that you shall worship Me? This is the Straight Path.” (61)
(Sūrah Yāsīn, 36:60-61)
The path of the devil is one laden with misguidance but sugar-coated with false promises of temporary riches and fame. The path we are asked to tread may not necessarily be full of wealth and comfort, as our sojourn in this world is not to acquire riches and fame. Rather, our purpose is to worship God Almighty in wake of whatever trials and tribulation we may be confronted by, as this world in all its pomp and glamour is temporary, and the permanent rewards of the hereafter are promised to those who submit to His eternal will.
After this reminder and warning about Satan and his open enmity with us, God Almighty implores the rational faculty by asking,
وَلَقَدْ أَضَلَّ مِنكُمْ جِبِلًّا كَثِيرًا ۖ أَفَلَمْ تَكُونُوا تَعْقِلُونَ
“And he has indeed led a large number of you astray; so did you not have sense?”
(Sūrah Yāsīn, 36:60-61)
Hence, if we are to be fooled by the rhetoric of the founders of this bogus religion, -as it is essentially designed to decimate your religious consciousness-, the it exhibits our lack of reasoning. Ergo, God Almighty is asking us to be rational and to think carefully about the plan of Satan and the lengths he has gone through to deceive humankind by portraying himself as a well-wisher. This is evident from the story of Prophet Noah (peace be upon him) in the Qur’ān as it clarifies that Satan, in his pursuit to lure humankind away from the worship of God, presented himself as a well-wisher, but in reality led the people astray by introducing idolatry. (for more details, see Stories of the Prophets for the Modern Age, Story of Prophet Noah and the Beauty of Da’wah)
The Illogical Ideology of Satan Worship
Suffice to say that any rational person would find the premise of the Satanic ideal to be diametrically opposed to all rationale. By the use of a simple syllogism, we can deduce the fallacy of the Satanic claim;
God brought about everything into existence,
Therefore, God exists.
(The above is a logical consequence)
How blind must a person be to acknowledge the existence –and consequent worship- of Satan, without recognizing that God exists? Basically, it is to say that whilst the earth exists, I prefer to acknowledge planet Mars instead. Nobody who understands the cosmos would ever say something at illogical as that, because the acknowledgment of Mars as a planet cannot be done so without acknowledgment of planet earth, yet Satan has ensnared his victims with his web of deceit to such a point that they have eyes but cannot see. The end result of such people has been clarified in the Qur’ān,
And indeed We have created many jinns and men for hell; they have hearts in which there is no understanding; and the eyes they do not see with; and the ears they do not hear with; they are like cattle – in fact more astray; it is they who are the neglectful.
(Sūrah Al-A’rāf, 7:179)
Until and unless we utilize our God-given senses in the correct manner, then we will indeed be held accountable for our deeds. The illogical premise of the satanic understanding is as follows,
God brought about everything into existence,
Satan is God.
(the above is an Illogical consequence)
Acknowledging the existence of Satan can only be understood by the fact that He was initially a devout servant of God, whose pride, arrogance and jealousy of the first man (Prophet Ādam) caused him to disobey God. Qur’ānically, as a corollary of his defiant ways, he was banished from the heavens, not before he requested God to grant him respite till the final day. Discussing one avenue of Satan’s origin story, the Qur’ān states,
“Said Allāh, “What prevented you, that you did not prostrate when I commanded you?” Answered Iblīs, “I am better than him; You created me from fire whereas You created him from clay.” Said Allāh, “Therefore go down from here – it does not befit you to stay here and be proud – exit, you are of the degraded.” He said, “Give me respite till the day when people will be resurrected.” Said Allāh, “You are given respite.” He said, “Hence I swear by the fact that You sent me astray, I will certainly lay in wait for them on Your Straight Path”. “Then I will certainly approach them – from their front and from behind them and from their right and from their left; and You will find most of them not thankful.” He said, “Exit from here, rejected, outcast; indeed, whoever among them follows your bidding, I will fill hell with all of you.”
(Sūrah Al-A’rāf, 7:12-18)
After being granted this final request, he vowed to deceive humankind and prove to God that man was not worthy of the honor he was bestowed. Since then, he has been stealthily deceiving us from all angles by appealing to our desires, and convincing us by means of waswasah (satanic suggestions) to “live life to the fullest” because YOLO (You only live once) and must therefore make the most of it to whatever end.
According to the Islāmic tradition however, you don’t only live once! Nay! You die once, but you will live eternally thereafter in either blissful reward in Paradise, or everlasting punishment in Hell as a consequence of your choices!
The Satanic Ideology stands against everything the Qur’ān for!
The SASC has issued their “clarification” that they do not indulge in the kind of rituals etc. which tend to cause panic in society. Oh no! They are apparently “Good Satanists”, if ever such a thing could exist. This ideology will surprisingly be accepted by many uneducated Muslims as television shows such as “Lucifer” has already prepped the minds of this possibility, and many Muslims seem to be “hooked” on shows of that nature where the devil is portrayed as a “good guy” who got a “bad deal” from God.
This could not be further from the truth, as the Qur’ān has clarified these matters with verbose detail across its many chapters, to the point that his modus operandi has been clarified for its readers. An example of the Satanic tactic and its effects upon us can be viewed from the following excerpt,
“In the modern age, the deception of Satan has further evolved to penetrate the house of Islām to such a degree, that innumerable Muslims remain oblivious to his deceit, all the while, engaging in acts of forbiddance under the guise of permissibility. Satan strives to deceive us into believing that ‘bad’ is actually ‘good’ and vice versa. How many times have we experienced a situation whereby we, as Muslims completely understand the censuring of a specific act in the sharīah, yet we continue to find ‘loopholes’ in hope of gaining us access to some type of technical legality to enable that action? The subject of Halāl food outlets forms the most relative example.
A Muslim who is warned of a credible doubt regarding a certain chain store’s halāl status, will sometimes continue asking questions from religious leaders of different backgrounds until he finds the answer that he is searching for, knowing well that the sharīah has ruled against it. This is due to fact that his or her ‘nafs’ desires that particular object and due to his weakness in Imān, succumbs to those desires. We are now ‘shopping’ for the most convenient answer in order to make life ‘easy’ on our parts. On the flip side, Satan’s deception of late has stepped up to such a degree, that not only are we prone to validating Harām as Halāl, we are now rejecting explicit permissible laws as being ‘unsatisfactory’ to the demands of the modern age.”
(Stories of the Prophets for the Modern Age, Volume One, The Story of Prophet Ādam u and Iblīs)
The commencement of this Satanic Church must be recognized as a great failure on the part of religion as the establishment of such an organization threatens to potentially decimate the hard work of the people to bring about the highest form of morality via God’s decree. The SASC have listed some of their philosophical leanings and a perusal of the information is alarming indeed as the home page of their website exhibits their inclination towards the infamous founder of the Church of Satan and author of the Satanic Bible, Anthon levy whose 9 Satanic Statements forms the fundamentals of the Satanic ideology. An example of this is now presented to the reader in order to prove how contrary this philosophy is to the establishment of a socio-moral upbringing of the general populace. For instance, statement number 1 reads,
“Satan represents indulgence, instead of abstinence!”
Essentially, Satanists are promoting “indulgence” instead of “abstinence” whereas the Islāmic moral value system is one which promotes the detriments of indulgence and the benefits of abstinence. Hence, it is diametrically opposed to the Islāmic tradition because a society without laws and morals is as good as the jungle, and human beings are to be epitome of all goodness as we are not animals who must indulge in every desire, we deem necessary. According to the Qur’ān, God Almighty does not love those who are wasteful (7:31).
If indulgence is promoted then what is stopping a Satanist from traversing the laws and regulations of society if it creates abstinence from the actions which they prefer to indulge in? These are but some of the valid questions arising from this wayward philosophy.
Muslims in South Africa should be vigilant of the rise of Satanism in our country, and parents must be able to have open conversations with their children about the signs of Satanism as a religious identity as well as the nature of the satanic ideals and its design to alter our view on the concept of God.
May God Almighty protect us from the dark suggestions of the devil, and grant us the ability to discern between truth and falsehood!
In Allāh Almighty do I seek refuge from Satan, the rejected one!
