بِسْمِ ٱللّٰهِ ٱلرَّحْمٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
How many other grand-children did Sayyiduna Rasoolullah (peace be upon him) have aside from the grand-children born from Sayyidah Fathima (Allah be pleased with her)?
The sons of the Noble Messenger (peace be upon him) all passed away in infancy and besides Sayyidah Fathima (Allah be pleased with her), the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) had three other daughters – Sayyidah Zainab (Allah be pleased with her), Sayyidah Ruqayyah (Allah be pleased with her) and Sayyidah Umme Kulthoom (Allah be pleased with her).
- Sayyidah Zainab (Allah be pleased with her) was married to Hazrat Abul Aas ibn Rab’ee (Allah be pleased with him) – They had one son and a daughter named Hazrat Ali (Allah be pleased with him) and Sayyidah Umaamah (Allah be pleased with her). Hazrat Ali bin Abul ‘Aas (Allah be pleased with him) lived until the age of maturity whilst Sayyidah Umaamah (Allah be pleased with her) lived till adulthood.

- Sayyidah Ruqayyah (Allah be pleased with her) was married to Hazrat Uthmaan ibn Affan (Allah be pleased with him)– They had just one son, Hazrat Abdullah (Allah be pleased with him). He was born in Abyssinia and passed away there when he was two years old. (ibid)
- Sayyidah Umme Kulthoom (Allah be pleased with her) was married to Hazrat Uthmaan ibn Affan (Allah be pleased with him)– They did not have any children. (ibid)
Therefore, in total, Rasoolullah (peace be upon him) had three other grand-children, besides those from Sayyidah Fathima (Allah be pleased with her).
Including the grand-children from Sayyidah Fathima (Allah be pleased with her), Rasoolullah (peace be upon him) had a total of 9 grandchildren – 5 grand-sons (Hazrat Hasan, Hussain, Muhsin, Ali and Abdullah (Allah be pleased with them)) and 4 grand-daughters (Sayyidah Zainab, Umme Kulthoom, Ruqayyah and Umaamah (Allah be pleased with them)).
