بِسْمِ ٱللّٰهِ ٱلرَّحْمٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
How many children did the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) have?
Rasoolullah (peace be upon him) had four daughters and three sons. The names of his noble daughters were:
- Sayyidah Zainab (peace be upon her)
- Sayyidah Ruqayya (peace be upon her)
- Sayyidah Umme-Kulthoom (peace be upon her)
- Sayyidah Fathima (peace be upon her)
The names of his blessed sons were:
- Hadhrath Qaasim (peace be upon him)
- Hadhrath Abdullah (peace be upon him) who is also called Tayyib and Taahir
- Hadhrath Ibraheem (peace be upon him)
All his blessed children were born from Ummul Mumineen Sayyidah Khadijatul Kubra (peace be upon her) except Hazrat Ibraheem (peace be upon him) who was born from Sayyidah Maariyyah Qibtiyah (peace be upon her). (Tabqaat Ibn Sa’ad, Zarqaani alal Mawaahib, Madaarijun Nubuwah)
On behalf of the Ummah of Rasoolullah (peace be upon him), Aala Hadhrath Imaam Ahmed Raza Khan (peace be upon him) pays tribute to the blessed children in the following words,
Those fortunate children whose bodies were formed by the blood of the best of Messengers;
Thousands of salutations be upon their pure disposition and nature
Allah and His Rasool know best.
